About Our Company

Through 31 branch locations, we average more than 20,000 runs a day across a 10-state area throughout the Southeast.

Our company began in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1984 with one facility, one employee and five drivers who set out to handle 100 runs a day. Over the last 25+ years, Express Courier International, Inc. has built a reputation for service excellence resulting in dramatic market and geographic expansion. Today, we’re known simply as Express, with headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, just outside Nashville. Our 21 branch offices serve more than 3,000 accounts – providing same-day scheduled and on-demand distribution and warehousing logistics to support healthcare, financial services, office products, pharmaceuticals, auto parts, manufactured goods and other businesses of all sizes. We have received “The Fortune Fifty” and “Business of the Year” awards, and we are involved members in our industry’s top trade associations. We provide tailored routing and delivery solutions with 24/7/365 customer support, local points of contact and broad geographic coverage throughout the Southeast.

Today, the collaborative efforts and teamwork of more than 1,000 drivers and 185 employees assure worry-free delivery with our capacity for 20,000 or more runs a day.

We are proud of our success but never rest on our laurels. We have maintained profitable year-over-year revenue growth, which has allowed us to launch new technologies, enhance employee/driver training, expand facilities and add resources to better serve our customers. Our management team is second to none, with leadership who have more than 185 years of combined experience in the industry. In June 2006, The Riverside Company, a private equity firm located in Cleveland, Ohio, acquired our company, thus providing access to additional capital for technology improvements, employee training and increased financial stability during future expansion projects.
